The course will take place in a festive setting. It is important that you feel comfortable in the attire you choose to wear to the graduation ceremony. We recommend a smart-casual look.

Graduates have the option to rent a gown and hat.

For the group photo of all graduates following the stage program, tossing your hat in the air creates an unforgettable shared moment to mark a fitting conclusion to your time at KIT!

Graduates have the option to rent academic regalia—consisting of a gown and cap—for the duration of the ceremony. The regalia must be ordered from our partner, Robe Academicus, before the ceremony, no later than November 20, 2026. You will find the link to the provider below; the code is: KIT

A rental fee of € 15.00 is charged for the gown and cap. In addition, a deposit of € 15.00 must be paid. Once the attire is returned, the deposit will be refunded to the specified account.

Pickup

About one week before the ceremony, you will receive an email with your personal pickup time.

Pickup takes place in the coat check area in the basement of the Stadthalle Karlsruhe.

Return

Items must be returned immediately after the ceremony, no later than 6:00 p.m., to the lower coat check area of the Stadthalle Karlsruhe.
