The anniversary exhibition at the ZKM, at art karlsruhe and online
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) was created in 2009 from the merger of the University of Karlsruhe (founded in 1825) and the Karlsruhe Research Center, thus combining a long tradition with modern research. For 200 years, teaching, research and innovations from Karlsruhe have shaped science and society.
The exhibition presents 100 objects that illustrate this development. Their stories are conveyed through short texts, images and digital content and can be explored thematically or chronologically. Many exhibits originate from a public call and show the close connection between KIT and the region.
In addition to scientific successes, the exhibition also sheds light on critical developments and encourages reflection on historical contexts. Curated by Klaus Nippert and Andrea Stengel, the exhibition was on display at both the Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (ZKM) and at the art karlsruhe was on show. The exhibition will continue to be and is accompanied by a bilingual exhibition catalog.
The commemorative publication for KIT's anniversary
To mark the 200th anniversary of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2025, a commemorative publication has been published that impressively summarizes the institution's eventful history, significant milestones and future prospects. The book describes both scientific achievements and the people who have shaped KIT over two centuries.
The Media Production department was responsible for the design of the commemorative publication. It was responsible for the visual concept, the layout and the high-quality preparation of the content and thus contributed significantly to the appealing and professional appearance of the book.
